IT will be even more of an old-boys reunion when the Knights meet Hunslet next month.
The Hawks have signed big prop Joe Helme from Dewsbury Rams and he enjoyed a noteworthy debut last week as his new side beat National League One leaders Barrow in the shock of the season so far.
Helme was the fifth ex-Knight to feature in that Hunslet team, who are of course coached by former York centre Graeme Hallas.
The others are scrum-half Phil Hasty, hooker Jonny Wainhouse and forwards Jamie Bovill and Mark Blanchard, who was the man of the match.
The way the Hawks have added to their squad as the season has progressed suggests that might not be their last surprise victory.
